These aero bars only add about a pound or 480 grams of weight to your bike but with the speed you loose with the added weight you gain back 2 fold in aerodynamics. I just put these on my ride tonight and they are stable and make the bike look fierce. These would be great for building a triathlon bike as well. I am giving these 4 stars instead of five because the instructions for installation were fairly weak. Putting aeros on a bike seems easy enough but there is actually a lot that goes into placement and adjustment. You will need to correct your saddle and set the bars so your shoulders are directly over your elbows when in the aero position. The saddle should be adjust accordingly. Overall a great deal for 58 bucks and an all star addition to any cyclists ride.

I'm new to triathlon and don't want to invest a great deal of money getting into the sport. Additionally, I've never used aero bars and was unsure how comfortable I would be on them. I can tell you, I absolutely love these aero bars. The bars can be installed in several positions to fit your body type. I am 6'1" tall with a 6'-3" wingspan and am quite comfortable on these bars. I highly recommend these bars in lieu of higher priced alternatives available in your local bike shop.

I purchased these aero bars to help reduce drag and improve my bike times for my first Triathlon. I can honestly say, these are priced right and work great! Compare to $195 - $196 aero bars at local bike shops. If you are patient, Amazon.com will ship to you in 4 days, and you can save big $. I would have given it 5 stars, however installation instructions were lacking. Also, before you apply the pads make sure the location and fit is right, because you will have to apply the pads directly on top of the arm rests, so if you get it wrong, you'll have to remove and try again, and this may wear out the glue on the bottom of your arm rest pads. Happy hunting!
