The Tri Short is designed to perform equally well in the swim, run and bike legs of the race. Ergonomic panel design makes the short fit great with a 6 ½ inch inseam. Made with Pearl's Sensor fabric which feels great, has excellent compression and keeps moisture at bay. The UltraSensor-Tri chamois is thin, non-bunching, quick dry. It does not absorb excessive water during the swim, provides just enough padding for the bike leg and is not restricting during the run. 68 of 68 people found the following review helpful Best Tri Shorts yet!, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pearl iZUMi Men's Triathalon Tri Cycling Short (Apparel) Third pair of tri shorts that I've owned: My first being some Sugoi's which were to thick on the padding and a little awkward to run in. My second being some TYR "Splice Male 9" Race Shorts" which had to thin of padding and the seams started to come undone after the first use.Well that brings my to my third, the Pearl Izumi's which I've heard so many good things about online. The padding is perfect for all three disciplines. They're really comfortable to wear and I ended up using them 5-6 days a week when I was training. They were $10-$20 more expensive than my previous shorts but totally worth it with the quality of the material. When I first bought them the elastics that surrounds my legs looked a bit loose but they adjust themselves once they're exposed to water. Triathletes like myself tend to have bigger quads and leg muscles so I think thats what the manufacturer had in mind when making these. !!!WARNING!!! These are not entirely bullet proof and... Although they are fairly new with only two washings, they withstood a 1.2 mile swim, 58 mile bike and 13.1 mile run in rain, and I had absolutely no chafing or rubbing. The bike pad was just big enough to protect, but not so big to be noticable in the run. It wicked a way sweat and rain perfectly. 23 of 24 people found the following review helpful Excellent if you know the "packaging", Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pearl iZUMi Men's Triathalon Tri Cycling Short (Apparel) I bought this after running in my first triathlon in a "boxer" swimming shorts and ended up with raw thighs afterwards. First time I wore this, I swam around a lake, and rode the bike for several miles. Afterwards, my private part was rubbed raw. I realized that I probably "packaged" my parts in wrong place, probably right on the heavy-duty stitches. On my second triathlon, with my part safety arranged away from those heavy stitches, I went totally raw-free, so I am very happy customer. |
