Profile Design Cr-Mo rails Tri Stryke Saddle Reviews
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Makes all the difference in the world, By Amazon Verified Purchase Choosing the right saddle is very personal, especially in the aero position! My previous saddle was great until I got into aero. The extra padding, aero specific shape, and slightly wider nose supports my Clydesdale frame nicely. The thing I found surprising is that the slightly narrower rear of the saddle hits my "sit bones" in or out of aero position so most of my weight is supported by my frame not by my more sensitive parts. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Worth a shot, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Profile Design Ti Rails Tri Stryke Saddle (Sports) I've been riding off and on for several years and have gone through a handful of saddles. Recently I decided to begin training for a sprint triathlon and decided I was going to need some comfort if I was going to get serious about training. After reading several reviews and taking my budget into concideration(around 100 bucks) I stumbled on this rather inexpensive saddle. For the price, I figured I'd give it a shot. I've been riding around 20 miles about 4 days days a week and have been rather pleased with the forgiveness of this saddle. Tenderness and soreness has been almost completely eliminated. I have had some numbness which is why I gave it 4 stars. This past Sunday I did my first tri and this saddle carried me through with no problem(soreness, chaffing, etc.) Also I met a gentleman that has been competing about every other month for 3 years now and hes been riding this saddle for the past 2 years. He loves it. So like I said. It's worth a shot. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Nice starter saddle for aero position, This review is from: Profile Design Ti Rails Tri Stryke Saddle (Sports) I picked up this saddle as an inexpensive early attempt to pick up a tri saddle. The road saddles were killing me. It's an improvement over what I have been using, but I have a couple of issues. It's a little too squishy, which creates a lot of friction. I've only had it for a month, but it already feels like it's breaking down where the most pressure is - meaning it feels there's a little less support no than when I started. The knob on the end is a little too big for my taste. Finally, the fabric already stinks. All that being said, it's a nice intro saddle for the price. I don't think it will be my saddle of choice in the end, but it's a good start. |
